Home Inspection Cost - Columbus OH

    Your home inspection is a very important part of the home buying process. While price is important, selecting a home inspector based on lowest price is probably not wise. Home inspectors vary widely on their knowledge and experience. An inspector that needs low prices to get business is probably not the inspector you want. An experienced inspector, who get lots of referrals from past clients and has plenty of business despite his prices, would be a better choice.

    Industry wide, the typical cost of a general home inspection for an average home in the Columbus market ranges from $350 - $450. Most inspectors adjust their price based on the size and age of a home. Larger homes take longer to inspect. Older homes typically have more issues to record and report on. Difficult to access crawlspaces can also increase inspection times and cost.

    OnSite Property Inspections base price for a general home inspection is $400 which covers most homes. Since we are also licensed to do radon testing (normally $150) and wood destroying insect (termite) inspections (normally $100), we are able to offer a bundled price of all three inspections for $600 (a $50 discount).
